New funding opportunity for local groups! 🌱
Green Community Grants Programme
The Green Community Grants Programme provides flexible, one-year funding for not-for-profit organisations across England, Scotland, and Wales with an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million.
Grants of up to £25,000 are available.
Eligibility
To apply, organisations must have been operating for at least 12 months. Their primary aims and objectives should align with one of the following funding themes:
- Supporting nature recovery and addressing the climate emergency
- Enhancing nature-rich spaces and improving access to them
While your organisation’s core purpose should reflect one of these themes, funding may also support a broader range of environmentally sustainable activities, such as recycling initiatives, litter picking, beach cleans, and sustainable transport projects.
Funding Priorities
During the assessment process, priority will be given to organisations that:
- Have an annual income of £250,000 or less
- Work within communities ranked in the top 15% of the Index of Multiple Deprivation
- Focus primarily on supporting marginalised groups, including (but not limited to) disabled people, racially marginalised communities, and LGBT+ individuals
- Include habitat or species restoration and protection within their governing objectives
Application Dates (2026)
The fund will open during the following application periods:
- 25 March – 22 April
- 24 June – 15 July
